Indian Information Technology Amendment Bill 2020:
The bill has already been passed in the Lok Sabha.
The Indian Information Technology Act 2014, the Indian Institute of Information Technology Private-Public Partnership Act 2017. They amended to recognize some of the Indian IT institutes (IITs) of national importance in the country working through public-private partnerships.
New IITs in five places:
The government plans to set up new IITs in five places across the country in this manner, which are proposed in Surat, Bhopal, Bhagalpur, Agartala, and Raichur respectively.
