Mr. Modi said farmers have the power to sell their fruits and vegetables anywhere and to anyone. This power has now been extended to other farmers in the country. They now have the freedom to sell whatever they grow, be it paddy, wheat, mustard, sugarcane, wherever they can get a higher price.

PM Modi gave the example of Kanwar Chauhan from the Sonepat district of Haryana. There was a time when Kanwar Chauhan had to face great difficulties in selling his fruits and vegetables outside

the market. If he tries to sell his fruits and vegetables outside the market, his produce and carts will be confiscated.
