Japan elects Yoshide Suga as ruling party leader

About Yoshde Suga:

Yoshide Suga, the right-hand man of Japan, has been elected leader of the ruling party following the resignation of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. He received 377 votes in the ruling Liberal Democratic Party’s election and is now Abe’s successor. Abe resigned last month due to health problems. The other two contestants got a combined 157 votes. Suga’s victory was expected.

He is currently the Cabinet Secretary in the Government
