Government of Maharashtra Announced Gansmarajni Lata Mangeshkar Award for Usha Mangeshkar

Maharashtra state Department of Cultural Affairs announced Gansmarajni Lata Mangeshkar Award for Senior Singer Usha To Mangeshkar.
Making this announcement by Cultural Affairs Minister Amit Deshmukh. On the date of 28th September 2020.

About Award

The award consists of Rs 5 lakh in cash, honorarium, and memento. Under the chairmanship of the Cultural Affairs Minister. The selection committee has unanimously selected the award for the year 2020-21.

About Usha Mangeshkar

Usha Mangeshkar has sung hundreds of melodious songs in many languages ​​including Marathi and Hindi. His songs were very popular in many Hindi films like Subah Ka Tara, Jai Santoshi Maa, Azad, Chitralekha, Khatta Mitha, Kala Patthar, Naseeb, Khubsurat, Disco Dancer, Inkar. All the songs he sang for Dada Kondke’s films in Marathi and the songs sung under the music direction of Ram Kadam and the Gavaran Thaska in them were very much appreciated by the audience.
