Global Tiger Day is celebrated every year on July 29. In 2020 Saint Petersburg Declared that celebrate the day. In comparison to the world, India has 70% of the total tiger population. The Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar released the All India Tiger Estimation-2018 report. Also, The Union Minister Dr. Harshvardan has released a report on Tiger Census to commemorate Global Tiger Day.
Reson of this day celebrating :
It promotes a system to protect natural habitats of tigers. Also, promote to raise public awareness. This year celebrating the day with the slogan “Their Survival is in our hands”. Tiger population double in the year 2022. This is a new goal fix by Saint Petersburg Summit. According to the World Wildlife Fund, 95% of the tiger population has been lost. At this time only 3,900 wild tigers are available. The main reason is Poaching, climate change, and habitat loss. That’s why the Tiger population is lost.
