Former Director of CBI Central Bureau of Investigation and Former Governor of Manipur and Nagaland. Ashini Kumar died on 7th October 2020 at his residence in Shimla.
Ashwini Kumar was a 1973 batch police officer. In 2006, he took over as the Director-General of Police of Himachal Pradesh. He was the Director-General of CBI from 2008 to 2010. In 2013, he took over as the Governor of Nagaland and Manipur.
