The five-star village Scheme Created for the purpose of creating awareness among the consumers in remote villages about the schemes of the Postal Department. “

About the Scheme:

This scheme is launched on the date of 10th September 2020.
The scheme was launched by Union Minister of State Sanjay Dhotre at a function held at Vadad Post Office in Akola district.

In this scheme, the branch offices will act as a ‘one-stop-shop’ to cater to the postal needs of rural customers.

These selected Villages giving a 5star rating when they started 5 types of postal schemes.

If every house in a village is included in the two postal schemes this village will be given two-star status.

Now Akola, Washim, Parbhani, Hingoli, Solapur, Pandharpur, Kolhapur, Sangli, Malegaon, and Palghar districts of the state are included in this scheme.
