About the Policy:

Tamil Nadu CM Edappadi Palaniswamy start’s the Electronic Hardware Manufacturing Policy-2020 of Tamil Nadu. On the date of 7th September 2020. This manufacturing policy total electronic goods worth 100-billion US Dollars by the year 2025. Tamilnadu contributes 25 percent of India’s electronic hardware export.

What is the aim of this policy;

1. Mainly attracting semiconductor fabrication units to the state.

2. Providing a 30-percent capital subsidy, 50 percent grant for taking land on lease, 5-percent interest grant for term loans.

3.Six months at the rate of Rs. 4,000 for men and Rs. 6,000 for women.

Focus Areas:

Mobile phones, LED’s, fabless chips, printed circuit boards, solar photovoltaic cells, and medical and automobile electronics.
