Educationist Subhash Awale passes away

Former Vice Chancellor of Babasaheb Ambedkar University of Technology and senior educationist Dr. Subhash Awale (age 72) passed away.
IIT Guwahati and Lucknow, Indore, Kolkata and Gwalior were instrumental in the formation of IIMs. He was the National Director of the World Bank Project. He was also the Member Secretary of the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
He had held various posts in the Union Ministry of Manpower Development. He was the Director of NITIE, Mumbai.
He was instrumental in setting up India’s first railway engineering institute at Myers MIT in Barshi.
