Former Union Secretary, former Vice-Chancellor of Goa University and President of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Pune Center Dr. Padmakar Ramchandra alias P. R. The interpreter (age 90) passed away in old age on Monday.

Work of Dr. Padmakar Dubhashi :

1. An interpreter joined the Indian Administrative Service in 1953 from the Karnataka cadre.
2. He visited Goa from 1990 to 1995 Was the Vice-Chancellor of the University.
3. He was appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of universities in 1990.
During his tenure, he had visited more than 30 countries on behalf of the Government of India.

Award :

1. The Central Government conferred the Padma Bhushan in 2010 for his longest contribution in the administrative service
2. He was awarded the Shiromani Award in 1993 for his outstanding performance in the administrative service.
