Nishikant Kamat from Mumbai. He was born on June 17, 1970, in Dadar.
He made a difference in 2005 with his debut film ‘Dombivali Fast’. This movie was released in 2006. He also won the National Award for the Best Picture. He also directed the Tamil language remake of ‘Dombivali Fast’ and ‘Evanu Oruvan’. After returning to Mumbai from goa, he started working in the field of entertainment.
He worked as a writer for four years and finally made his first film after such a 15-years career, which was Dombivali Fast, ‘Mumbai Meri Jaan’. His work was also noticed by the Hindi cinema. He had acted in the movie ‘Hawa Aane De’, ‘Fuge’, and ‘Rocky Handsome’. Ritesh Deshmukh starrer ‘Lay Bhari’ and Ajay Devgan-Tabu’s Drishyam starring Nishikant.
