Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Purushottam Rupala yesterday announced a special scheme ‘Ayushman Sahakar’. The feature of this scheme is that it will be implemented in rural areas through co-operation. This new plan has been formulated to create basic health facilities in the country.
The ‘Ayushman Sahakar’ scheme will be implemented through the National Co-operative Development Corporation (NCDC). The scheme will cover 52 hospitals in the country run by co-operative societies. The managing director of NCDC is Sandeep Nayak.
