Japan marks the 75th anniversary of the atomic bomb attack on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The date is 6, August 2020.
History of the Day :
United States warplane Enola Gay dropped an atom bomb ‘Little Boy’ in 1945. Over 14,000 people of Hiroshima killed. After three days 9th August 1945 the United States dropped another atom bomb. The name of this bomb is “Fat Man”. This bomb attacking in Nagasaki will kill more than 40,000 people. ‘Hibakushas’ is the survivors of the bomb.
Why the atom bomb attack?
The relation between Japan and the United State of America not good after the end of World War II in 1945. Because the Japanese forces decided to capture oil-rich areas of the East Indies. That time US President is Harry Truman. Truman authorized to drop the bomb to make Japan surrender.
Pointing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki –
Because these two are important places for Japan. When these two placed attacked then destroy the ability of Japan to fight wars. Hiroshima was the army headquarters of Japan country. Nagasaki is one of the largest seaports in southern Japan.
1943 this agreement was signed by the US and UK. In this agreement, both countries agree that they don’t use nuclear weapons against each other.
First Nuclear Weapon Testing :
July 16, 1945, the US tested his nuclear weapons at Trinity site. This Testing is a part of the Manhattan Project.
Manhattan Project :
The USA, UK, and Canada Conducted this project. This was a Research and Development program. This was lead to bu the USA. The main aim of this project is to develop the first nuclear weapons to be used in world war II.
