About ITEC Day 2020
The Indian Embassy in Nepal today celebrated Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Day (ITEC) Day 2020 through the webinar “Knowledge Sharing and Experience on COVID-1 Management”. ITEC is India’s leading capacity-building initiative with global coverage of almost 1 developing country including Nepal.

Ambassador Vinay Quattra appreciated the ongoing bilateral cooperation to support Nepal in enhancing indigenous capacity under the ITEC initiative. Over the last year, many ITEC capsules have been organized in the Supreme Court of Nepal for officials from various institutions in Nepal in the areas of judicial services, Ministry of Finance’s public finance management, training of revenue officers, money laundering, and countering. Financing of terrorism training, in-depth training on water resources and development, and e-ITEC program on COVID-1 Management
India has been assisting Nepal since April 2020 with the help of Remedishiver, PCR test kits and ICU ventilators.
About 100 e-ITEC students, who have been participating in the e-ITEC course sponsored by the Government of India and leading Indian institutions on the Kovid crisis and its management since April 2020, participated in the webinar and exchanged views.
The ITEC program is fully funded by the Government of India to share India’s development experience and skills with 160 developing countries, including Nepal.
