26 July ‘Kargil Victory Day’

Kargil was a war fought between India and Pakistan in the summer of 1999. In this war, India noticed that Pakistani infiltrators had captured may outposts across the Indian border and the Kargil war was started to repel these infiltrators.  This station was located in a very remote place in Kargil and dry areas. From there, the Indian army succeeded in driving out the Pakistani troops. This was the first war in which both countries became nuclear-armed. India Limited the war to Kargil.
